Operations ManagerNell Mohn is one of the founding members of the Buffalo Master Chorale and a singer in the soprano section. An attorney by trade, she left law practice in 2002 and has since served in the nonprofit sector as an administrator and development officer. She has worked at the Buffalo Museum of Science, Gateway Longview Family Services and Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and is currently Director of Strategic Development for MusicalFare Theatre. Mohn has sung for 25 years with organizations such as The City of Good Neighbors Chorale, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, and St. Paul’s Cathedral Schola Cantorum.
Chorus ManagerKaren Ferington is one of the founding members of the Buffalo Master Chorale and sings in the soprano section. She has a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a Major in Voice and taught music in the public schools for several years in Ohio and New York. For over 20 years she directed her church’s adult and youth handbell choirs as well as the children’s choir in Lockport. Karen later went on with her education and received her Masters of Library & Information Science degree from SUNY-Buffalo. Since then she has worked as the Media/Catalog/Archives Librarian at Niagara County Community College for over 20 years. Her choral singing experiences have included college choirs, church choirs, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, and the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus.
